Our Babyalpaca Los Andes is a bulky weight yarn made from pure alpaca wool and is amazingly soft and fine. Los Andes is spun in Peru from the fleeces of young alpacas found in the highlands of the Andes. It is available in seven beautiful undyed shades. This voluminous yarn is lovely to work with, and it's very even stitch definition works well with both textured patterns and stockinette stitch. Despite its softness, Los Andes is hard wearing and garments keep their shape with very little pilling.
Babyalpace Los Andes is a 2 ply yarn and is ideal for warm sweaters and jackets as well as accessories like shawls and hats. It is warm and cozy, and despite its thickness, is very light and soft. As alpaca contains hardly any lanolin, it can be worn by those with the most sensitive skin.
