Linen Bloom – Nature in Its Purest Form
Linen Bloom is a linen yarn that combines the power of nature with timeless elegance. Spun from thefinest GOTS-certified linen fibers from Normandy, France, and dyed with natural pigments in Italy, thisyarn brings together sustainability, luxury, and authentic beauty.
What Makes Linen Bloom Special
Linen Bloom is a yarn that becomes softer and more supple with every touch, every stitch, and every wash. Over time, it gradually reveals its full character, a testament to the idea that true beauty lies in transformation.
A Special Construction – A Fine Chainette
Linen Bloom is not traditionally plied; instead, it is made as a very fine chainette. This innovative construction gives the yarn exceptional softness, fluidity, and a wonderfully pleasant feel while working.
With a yardage of 274 yds (250 m) per 50 g, it is lightweight, and creates an airy, elegant fabric structure.
Linen Bloom is ideally knitted with 2.5 – 4 US (3.0–3.5 mm) needles.
If you choose a smaller needle size, we recommend pairing it with Suave, Manada, or Mohair Bliss to stabilize the yarn and achieve an even stitch definition.
Note: When combining Linen Bloom with a companion yarn, please avoid mixing very dark colors with very light ones. Usually, natural pigments may release some color during the first wash.
Colors that Breathe
The initial color palette includes 15 natural, harmonious shades, dyed exclusively with pigments derived from nature. This gives the yarn its characteristic matte-gloss finish and a gentle, pleasant elasticity. The colors range from soft pastels to deep blues and blacks shaped by nature itself.
Dyed in Italy – With Pure Natural Pigments
For Linen Bloom, we collaborate with the renowned Tintoria di Quaregna, pioneers of the NATURALE dyeing technology. The dyes are extracted from plants, herbs, roots, flowers, and bar such as indigo, madder, weld, walnut shells, safflower, and logwood.
This innovative technique produces stable, reproducible shades and has been recognized by Woolmark as the first natural dyeing method of its kind. Here, sustainability becomes visibl in colors that let nature speak.
Suitable Projects for Linen Bloom
Whether tops, shawls, airy summer sweaters, or accessories, Linen Bloom is ideal for all projects that call for an elegant, cooling, and durable yarn. It drapes softly, retains its shape, and will accompany you for many years.
Care for Naturally Dyed Yarns
Naturally dyed yarns require gentle care to preserve their beauty over time:
- Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water (max. 30 °C)
- Use a mild, pH-neutral wool detergent
- Do not soak or rub
- Gently press out water after washing; do not wring
- Dry flat and protect from direct sunlight
- Wash dark colors separately the first time
With proper care, Linen Bloom becomes softer, more supple, and beautifully patinated over time.
