Product information

Our Vicuña is a most rare, exclusive and very special high-quality noble hand knitting yarn. We are proud and happy to be the only one supplier of this exceptional yarn in Europe after more than 5 years of searching. The certificated yarn comes from Peru. Because of its rarity and unique properties it is considered to be the yarn of the yarns, which has wonderful wearing qualities.

Vicuña is sold in its natural colour, because it is not being dyed in general. The noble yarn is collected every two years by gently shearing of the wild vicunas. For now, through comprehensive protection measures vicunas do not belong to the endangered species anymore. As with all our products, of course, we pay attention to the high level of sustainability by vicuna yarns as well.

For the year 2018 there are only 170 numbered skeins available for you. The reason of this is that vicuna yarn can be produced only in small quantities.

You can acquire a small rare treasure, which will bring you a great pleasure while knitting and give birth to a unique knitted piece – your wealth.

Care: hand washing, not more than 30 degrees and not in the washing machine. Please use only wool detergent for this fine yarn and dry lying if possible, ideally on a terry towel, in order to avoid deformation. You can also dry it on the foam hangers, but in no way close to the heat source.
