PATTERN | ELLNA CARDIGAN

The delicate but casual ELLNA cardigan is knitted seamlessly top down. A fan-shaped lace pattern covers the yoke and is slowly fading out down the sleeves and the body. Eyelet strips run down to the ribbed hemline and cuffs. Once the yoke is completed, the stitches for the bracelet sleeves are put on hold and the body is finished separately. The sleeves are then worked in rounds. ELLNA was designed to be knitted with Pascuali Forest and Manada held together. The sizes correspond to the bust circumference as follows: XS/S (M/L; XL/XXL) = 29 (32; 35; 39; 42; 47)” / 74 – 82 (90 – 98; 107 – 119) cm bust circumference (measured at the body). The cardigan has a relaxed fit and bracelet sleeves. Example: If you have a bust measurement of 35” (90 cm), then knit the cardigan in size M/L for a positive ease of 7” (18 cm).

You need:

2 (3; 3) x 100 g (3.50 oz) Pascuali Forest (70 % Merino superfine, mulesing free, 15 % bamboo viscose, 15 % cotton) in colour A  

(Forest has been permanently removed from our collection. As an alternativ, you cam use our yarn Pinta.)

4 (5; 6) x 25 g (0.88 oz) Pascuali Manada (45% Mohair, 25% Silk, 15 % Yak Wool, 15 % Virgin Wool) in colour B

US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 24” (60 cm) for the neckline ribbing
US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle, 32 – 40” (80 – 100 cm) for the body
US 6 (4 mm) and US 7 (4.5 mm) DPNs or circular needles, 16” (40 cm) for the sleeves
or needle sizes required to get gauge
US 4 (3.5 mm) needles for the Italian cast-on and bind-off
Stitch markers
Stitch holder or waste yarn
5 buttons, 0.8” (2 cm) diameter
Tapestry needle and scissors
