PATTERN | INSIDE OUT SWEATER

The INSIDE OUT SEATER is worked in rounds from the top down. It is fully reversable: the “right-sideout” variation is worn with the reverse stockinette stitch sections on the outside. To simplify construction, you knit the sweater inside out, in stockinette stitch, and reverse it later. However, it also works beautifully as a reversable garment that you can wear with either side facing out, depending on your preference, or if you just want to do something different. The simple textured pattern in the middle of the sleeves and the side lines of the body interrupts the stockinette/reverse stockinette surfaces and extends all the way to the edges.

This sweater is a unisex garment: it can be worn by men or by women. For men, you may need to work the body and sleeves somewhat longer than the measurements given in the schematic and the text. Please try on the garment as you go along to ensure that the length is correct.

Men:
The sizes correspond to the chest circumference as follows:

Women:
The sizes correspond to the bust circumference as follows:

The sweater has a normal fit and is designed to be worn with approx. 3.5–6ʺ (9–16 cm) of positive ease for men and 3–5.5ʺ (7–14 cm) of positive ease for women.

Example: If your chest/bust measurement is 39ʺ (98 cm), make the man’s sweater in size M or a woman’s sweater in size L. It will have a comfortable, loose fit with a positive ease of 4.7ʺ (12 cm).
