Cashmere Lace – Our finest cashmere yarn in lace weight

Our Cashmere Lace is an exceptionally high-quality and exclusive yarn made from pure cashmere. With its lace weight, it’s ideal for delicate knitting projects such as fine shawls, lightweight tops, or lace-patterned designs.

For all our cashmere qualities, we use only the soft, combed undercoat of cashmere goats. The fibers come from goats raised in the highlands of Mongolia. The yarn is spun and dyed in Italy – specifically at the renowned Cariaggi spinning mill, which is partially owned by Chanel and Brunello Cucinelli. Cariaggi produces some of the world’s finest yarns for leading luxury fashion houses and adheres to the highest quality standards. The company is also deeply committed to environmental protection and holds multiple certifications, including RAF (Responsible Animal Fiber) and SFA (Sustainable Fibre Alliance).

The fiber and production of Cashmere Lace are SFA-certified.
This means both the origin of the cashmere fiber and its processing at the mill comply with strict environmental, animal welfare, and social responsibility standards. The SFA advocates for sustainable grazing, fair labor conditions, and respectful treatment of animals.

You’ll feel the exceptional quality of Cashmere Lace from the very first stitch. We use ultra-fine cashmere fibers measuring only 15.5 microns. The fibers are carefully inspected before spinning, then dyed, washed, steamed, and subjected to rigorous quality checks – including tests for pilling and colorfastness.

The yarn is 2 x 2/28 plied, making it smooth and pleasant to knit with, producing an even, elegant stitch definition. It’s perfect for airy textures and delicate patterns, especially lacework and openwork designs. Thanks to the fine, long fibers, it has a gentle halo and is significantly less prone to pilling than many other cashmere yarns.

Cashmere Lace is the perfect choice for delicate shawls, luxurious accessories, or lightweight garments. It’s wonderfully warm, feather-light, and incredibly soft on the skin – even for those with sensitivities.

Important Note:
This product description refers to the production starting in July 2025.
Some colors are marked with an asterisk (*) – this indicates they are discontinued shades from the previous production run. The current production has a slightly softer halo, but maintains the same gauge and yardage, so you can still use older patterns for Cashmere Lace – and even combine old and new batches in one project. Once washed, the knitted fabric will appear even and smooth.

For colors 06, 10, 26, and 56, there are significant differences in shade compared to the pre-July 2025 production. The product images reflect the current shade.
