Product information

Our Cashmere Worsted is a premium and exclusive yarn.  It is a Medium/Worsted weight and is amazingly thick and cozy.

Just like our Cashmere 6/28 and Cashmere Lace yarns, Cashmere Worsted has been spun from pure cashmere wool.  To create yarn to such a high standard, only the downy undercoat of the Cashmere goat is used.  The fibers used in our yarns are from goats reared in Inner Mongolia.  The delicate fibers are spun and dyed with the utmost care in Italy.

Cashmere Worsted is a 12 ply yarn and is an absolute pleasure to work with.  It has very even stitch definition which is perfect for all kinds of textured patterns as well as stockinette stitch.  The wool is wonderfully soft as it made from the fine, long hairs of the goat's undercoat, and is much less likely to pill than other yarns.

Our luxurious Cashmere Worsted is perfect for thick yet lightweight pullovers and cardigans as well as accessories such as shawls or hats.  It is lightweight yet cozy and warm and is so lovely and soft, it can be worn by those with the most sensitive skin.

Tip: It is advisable to always order enough yarn for your desired model to ensure you knit your entire project with yarn of the same dye batch. In case of doubt, please make a gauge sample immediately after receiving the yarn. In this way, you can estimate whether you have ordered sufficient quantity and, if necessary, reorder directly.
