Our Cashmere Worsted is a premium and exclusive yarn made of pure cashmere wool. In the yarn weight Medium/Worsted it is a wonderful thick and cosy yarn.
Like our Cashmere 6/28 and Cashmere Lace, Cashmere Worsted is made of pure cashmere wool. For our cashmere qualities, only the downy undercoat of the cashmere goat is used. The fibre comes from goats in Inner Mongolia, the yarn is produced in Italy. There the fine cashmere fibres are processed to perfection in order to meet the high quality of the fibres. The yarn is also dyed in Italy.
Cashmere Worsted is a 12-ply yarn. It is absolutely pleasant to work with and has a very even stitch definition. Perfect for all types of textured patterns, but it also looks very elegant when knitted in stockinette stitch. The wool has a soft fluff. Since it consists of the finest, particularly long hair, it still has a much lower tendency to lint or pill than other yarns.
The fine, classy and incomparable Cashmere Worsted is equally suitable for thick yet light sweaters and cardigans as well as for accessories such as shawls or hats. It is cosy, warm, very light and soft on the skin. It is well tolerated on the skin even by the most sensitive people.
Please keep in mind that every monitor has its typical colors of display what can cause color divergence with the original colors of the yarns. We recommend that you always order a sufficient amount of yarn for your project. This is the only way to ensure that you can knit your project with yarn from the same batch. In case of doubt, please make a gauge immediately after receiving the yarn. This will enable you to estimate whether you have ordered a sufficient quantity and, if necessary, reorder directly.
