Product Information
Inspired by the sea, Saffira comes in a beautiful, elegant colour palette which will inspire you to knit wonderful garments and accessories.
Saffira is a yarn made from the finest merino and mulberry silk, pleasantly soft and suitable for all kinds of fine knitted pieces. The fineness of the mulesing free merino wool is 17.5 microns, which falls into the finest category of "ultrafine" wool. Even though the difference between "ultrafine" and "extrafine" is only 3 microns, you can clearly feel the difference on your skin.
Saffira’s ultrafine merino wool gives your knitted garments high elasticity with excellent insulating and breathability properties. Its silk composition also provides a subtle shine, a refreshing feeling and high durability.
Tip: It is advisable to always order enough yarn for your desired model to ensure you knit your entire project with yarn of the same dye batch. In case of doubt, please make a gauge sample immediately after receiving the yarn. In this way, you can estimate whether you have ordered sufficient quantity and, if necessary, reorder directly.
