Product information

Our yarn Saffira is spun and dyed in Italy. It consists of 75% organic ultrafine merino wool and 25% mulberry silk.

The fineness of the merino wool is 17.5 microns, as such, it falls into the finest category of "ultrafine" wool.

Even though the difference between "ultrafine" and "extrafine" is only 3 microns, you can clearly feel the difference on your skin.

Its optimal length (200m/220 yds / 50g/1.8oz) and wonderful composition of Argentinian mulesing-free merino wool and mulberry silk lets you knit any top and fine accessories throughout the year.

Saffira’s ultrafine merino wool provides your knit project with high elasticity and keeps body-heat well. Its silk composition also provides a subtle shine, a refreshing feeling and a high durability.

Saffira’s limited and elegant color palette is inspired by the sea. All colors can be easily combined for excellent results.

Tip: It is advisable to always order enough yarn for your desired model to ensure you knit your entire project with yarn of the same dye batch. In case of doubt, please make a gauge sample immediately after receiving the yarn. In this way, you can estimate whether you have ordered sufficient quantity and, if necessary, reorder directly.
