Our merino wool is, naturally, mulesing-free and is sourced from Argentina, Patagonia. Its fineness is of 16.5 microns; even finer and softer than "extrafine" quality, and falls into the category of "ultrafine". Even if the difference between "ultrafine" and "extrafine" is only 3 microns, the softness of our merino wool can be clearly felt in an instant.
Tibetan’s noble yak wool component has its origins in inner Mongolia and China. Like all our yak fibres, it possesses a fineness of approx. 16 microns. Our Tibetan yarn is spun in Italy. At all stages of the production, from the sourcing of raw fibres to the finished yarn, we make sure conditions for breeders and workers are fair and animal are well taken care of.
Tibetan is currently available in woolen-white and is also suitable for dyeing. Its length of 273 yds (250 m) / 100 gr makes it ideal for knitting soft and cuddly hats, handwarmers, ponchos, scarves and sweaters.
Tip: It is advisable to always order enough yarn for your desired model to ensure you knit your entire project with yarn of the same dye batch. In case of doubt, please make a gauge sample immediately after receiving the yarn. In this way, you can estimate whether you have ordered sufficient quantity and, if necessary, reorder directly.
