Vegan Knitting. Natural Yarns without Animal Fibres.

Vegan knitting is not only of interest to vegans.

A yarn is vegan if it contains no animal products at all. Often this means having to use synthetic fibres, but this need not be the case. We have created wonderful vegan yarns that are in no way inferior to traditional animal fibre-based yarns and are also biodegradable. Whatever your reasons for rejecting animal fibres, we’ve got what you are looking for. Our vegan yarns are also suitable for allergy sufferers.

NEPAL

Our Nepal yarn is made of a very special fibre blend of organic cotton, linen and nettle. This blend gives the yarn an exceptional structure, which is fairly robust yet soft and the nettle fibres give it a slight sheen.

This composition makes the yarn very breathable and it is therefore suitable for both summer and winter.

RE-JEANS

Re-Jeans is made of 100% recycled cotton, therefore it has all the properties of cotton, such as breathability and softness. What’s more, this yarn easily finds its way into the recycling economy, one of the most important aspects of sustainability.

It is great for all kinds of knitting projects, from skirts and shirts through to oven mitts.

SUAVE

Our most innovative vegan yarn is made from 100% cotton. It is the structure of the thread that makes it so special: the very delicate and long cotton fibres are netted rather than twined, which makes it incredibly soft and cuddly. This is why it is also described as “the vegan yarn with a cashmere feel".

The yarn is also perfect for multi-thread knitting, making it extremely versatile: coarse-knit sweaters with 10mm needles or fine pattern with thin needles; everything is possible.

CUMBRIA

The vegan Cumbria yarn is one of our most popular yarns. It combines Pima cotton and bamboo. The fibre properties give the yarn a cooling effect in the summer but its light fleeciness keeps you warm in the winter and the Bamboo viscose gives the yarn a beautiful sheen and a light suppleness.

Cumbria is very soft and smooth and suitable for all knitting projects.
